What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban?

Much has changed for the Chevrolet Suburban in 2021, including an expanded choice of engines, a refreshed interior, larger dimensions and a bold redesigned appearance on the exterior. The newly redesigned Suburban is longer and wider than before. Adding over 14 inches to the wheelbase this year gives the Suburban bragging rights to having class-leading legroom in the second and third rows.

The Suburban is decked out with technology and amenities, including one of the largest infotainment systems in the SUV's class. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard for the first time, and the Suburban also has wireless charging on certain trims. A diesel engine is now available for the Suburban, while the other two engines are gasoline. Safety and technology packages are available on most trims to add even more features.

What Are the Suburban Trims & Features?

The 2021 Suburban lineup begins with the LS. This trim gets the brand's new 10.2-inch entertainment and technology system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is room for eight, and the base trim has a power-sliding center console that provides more storage space in the cabin. The LT has wireless charging and a programmable, hands-free liftgate. It also has slightly larger 20-inch wheels.

The RST gets even larger 22-inch wheels and special trim-specific embroidered bucket seats. The Z71, which is built for performance, has more ground clearance and off-roading features, including low-range gearing and a custom front fascia. More technology and amenities appear in the Premier trim, including a 10-speaker Bose stereo and heated seats. The High Country adds a head-up display and more safety tools.
