What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox?
In 2021, the Chevrolet Equinox gets just a few changes from 2020. There is a new leather package available for the LT trim, and the list of available engines is shortened with the elimination of the 2.0T engine that was previously available. The Equinox otherwise remains the same as before with the same trim level lineup and list of features. A smooth ride, intuitive infotainment system, and user-friendly amenities are notable highlights for the 2021 Equinox in all trim levels.
Chevy Equinox Has Varied Trim Levels & Countless Features
The Equinox lineup begins with the L base trim level. There are two paint colors offered for the L trim, and it has an impressive list of standard features. Keyless entry is included with the L, and it also has cloth seats with split-folding seats in the back. A generous list of technology features are included at this trim level, including a seven-inch display screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. A 4G Wi-Fi hotspot is also standard, and you'll have a total of four USB ports in the cabin for convenient device charging.
The LS is the second trim that adds a bit more. With the LS, you will gain protective floor mats for the back row and more exterior paint colors. Rear privacy glass is offered through a package. The LT adds improved headlights, a sharper driver information screen, and a satellite radio. A package is available with more features, including dual-zone climate control, remote engine start, and heated seats. The Premier trim comes in with LED headlights, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, and a hands-free liftgate.

2021 Chevrolet Equinox Power & Performance
In 2021, one engine powers all Equinox trims, but you can choose different drivetrains with certain trim levels. The Equinox's engine is a 1.5L four-cylinder turbo engine with a power output totaling 170 HP. The Equinox has a maximum torque rating of 203 LB-FT. A six-speed transmission is standard with the engine on all trims. Most have front-wheel drive except for the L trim level, which is also offered with all-wheel drive as an alternative.
Packed With Safety Features
Multiple safety features are standard with the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox, including lane departure mitigation, a rear-seat reminder, and forward collision mitigation. Traction control, airbags, and seat belts are other standard safety features. Rear parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring are available through packages.
