What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV?
The 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV does not get significant changes this year to its appearance and amenities. However, the Bolt EV does have some changes to its trim lineup, including introducing the 1LT and 2LT packages. The Bolt EV goes through its last year before an overhaul with some adjustments to available interior and exterior colors, including replacing the previously available ash gray color with a Ceramic White. There are also some changes to the Comfort and Convenience package, including a DC charging port.
Which Trims & Features Are Available in 2021?
The 2021 Chevy Bolt EV is produced in two trim levels. The base trim now has a different name from the entry-level trim in 2020. The first trim in the series is now the 1LT. With 1LT, you can enjoy a variety of amenities. The 1LT has an impressive list of technology that includes a 10.2-inch touchscreen with a color display screen. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility are included as well. Even at the base level, you'll get a dose of luxury with an ambient interior light.
The keyless start is standard on the 1LT as well. The base trim previously had a backup camera, but it has been modified this year to have a high-definition display. The Comfort and Convenience package is available, which adds more cold-weather amenities, including a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and heated front seats. The package comes standard on the 2LT, which also has some more extras. The 2LT gets a comprehensive panoramic camera system for parking. It also has a rearview mirror that can become a full camera display. The 2LT also has heated rear seats and chrome-accented door handles.

Bolt EV Performance
Both Chevy Bolt EV trims have the same engine, and they have an identical range that is just under 260 miles. They are powered by a 66 kWh battery that delivers power to a synchronous electric motor. The battery and engine create 200 HP and slightly more than 265 LB-FT of torque. A single-speed transmission is standard.
Chevrolet Bolt EV Safety Features
The Chevy Bolt EV can be equipped with a number of safety features. Lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and forward-collision warning are optional.
