What's New for the 2019 Chevy Blazer?

If you were to compare the latest Blazer with the first edition that ever came to market, you'd hardly believe that you were looking at the same car. And in the Blazer's case, that is a good thing. Over the years, the Blazer has gotten some performance upgrades and design modifications to remain competitive. In following the trend with many vehicles of 2019, especially SUVs and trucks, the Blazer features an athletic, muscular stance with a large front grille. This is coupled with sleeker headlights and more rounded lines to give the Blazer a smoother, more aerodynamic, and much less boxy appearance.

The latest Blazer can comfortably seat up to five passengers with two in the front and three in the back. With its generous standard amenities, even at the base model, it's apparent that the Blazer is made to impress, and also to provide customers with as much value as possible. For instance, standard on the base model is an eight-inch entertainment console and a towing capacity of up to 4,500 pounds. There are plenty of add-on features too, such as all-wheel drive and a larger V6 engine, to make your Blazer stand out even more. With nearly a dozen paint colors available, there is plenty of leeway in giving your Blazer a custom appearance.

Which Features are Available for 2019?

In 2019, the Blazer is manufactured in three trim levels. The base model is simply referred to as the Blazer. The second trim level is the RS, and the third trim level is the Premier. The Blazer comes standard with 18-inch wheels, but you can upgrade to larger 20-inch wheels instead. The Blazer has a bold attitude and signature look with its stylish black grille and dual exhaust system. Cloth seats are standard on the Premier, but you have the option of upgrading to leather seats if you want a more luxurious interior. With the Premier, like the other trims, you have a choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

In the RS, many of the available features on the Blazer are standard. This includes rear parking assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and heated front seats. The RS also has an HD backup camera and a 120V power outlet to keep your electronics ready for use at a moment's notice. The highest trim level, which is the Premier, adds more in the way of conveniences. This trim level, like the RS includes the eight-inch driver information display center with a color screen as standard. Instead of a six speaker sound system, this trim level has a total of eight speakers. Its audio system is made by Bose to give you the highest sound quality possible. The infotainment center in this trim comes with navigation, and its screen is HD color for clarity and visibility. If you want to really stand out on the road, you can get up to 24-inch wheels.
