In March 2018, Chevy decided to pause the production of the City Express. While inventory is dwindling, Van Chevrolet offers many other new and used work vans for sale in Scottsdale. The City Express will not be a part of the 2019 model year.
What's New for the 2018 Chevrolet City Express?
The 2018 Chevy City Express is one of Chevrolet's newest vehicles for the year and the latest to come from their City Express model line. The City Express is built as a minivan, though not like the models of old and doesn't carry as many passengers as previous models since it's a cargo van. The continuous transmission is one of the newer features added to this year's vehicle.

Powerful Work Van Features
The 2018 City Express is available in different trim levels and has several features and amenities formatted specifically to them. The City Express only has two trim levels for this year, and they are the the 1LS and 1LT models. The 1LS is the base model trim for this vehicle and has all of the standard features available including a deep tint rear door glass and improved appearances, like body-colored front and rear bumpers. Cruise control and special rear parking sensors are also included to make drivers more wary. The 1LT has many of the same features but also adds newer specialty ones such as a "Technology Package," with enhanced BlueTooth Connectivity and color-connected radio with better navigation. 15-inch wheel covers are also an option that can be added to this version of the model.
Engine and Performance
The 2018 Chevy City Express can carry an engine that is able to provide all of the duties and endurance made for a vehicle its size. The engine is built for how cargo vehicles generally operate, being able to attain a 131 horsepower rating and produce up to 5,200 wheel rotations per minute. It can also generate 139 feet by pounds of total torque, as well as take on a maximum payload of 1,500 pounds and weighs well over 4,700 pounds on its own. There is also a front-wheel drive ready for all of the models and it runs on a continuously varied speed transmission that is generally automatic. The fuel economy means that the cargo van can only take regular unleaded fuel, but can only get 25 combined miles per gallon, getting 24 MPGs on regular roads and 26 MPGs when on the highway.
Advanced Safety Gears
The Chevy City Express, like all new vehicles, is made to be a safe ride and has the features necessary to make riders feel secure. In terms of safety, basic things have already been included such as improved stability and traction control to handle turning and rougher roads. Emergency braking assist is one of the features for handling engines, as well as an engine immobilizer to ensure it doesn't overheat or get worn out from all of the usage. There is also a remote anti-theft alarm system at the ready to prevent theft or vandalism. As far as vision goes, there are daytime running lights installed.
