There's plenty to admire about the new Silverado pickup. If you're a worker, you'll be impressed by the truck's optional EZ Lift-and-Lower tailgate, which makes it easier to reach the box, as well as available NHT max trailering package. Ideal for drivers who do a lot of hauling, the package comes with heavy-duty rear springs, a 9.76-inch rear axle, a trailer brake controller and special shock tuning.
Aside from its performance capabilities, the 2017 Chevy Silverado in Scottsdale is offered with an 8-inch color touchscreen, navigation and 4G LTE connectivity with Wi-Fi hotspot. The High Country also features an array of luxuries, including leather front bucket seats, 20-inch chrome wheels and High Country logos on select components with the vehicle.
Three different engines are offered on the Silverado models: a 4.3L V6, 5.3L V8 and 6.2L V8.
The 4.3L V6 is standard on all models aside from the LTZ and High Country. Delivering 285 horsepower and 305 lb.-ft. of torque, it is paired with a six-speed automatic.
The 5.3L V8 delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. It is matched to a six-speed automatic and is standard on the LTZ and High Country.
A 6.2L V8 is also offered on both the LTZ and High Country. It produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque, and is paired with an eight-speed automatic.
A multitude of standard safety features praised in several 2017 Chevy Silverado reviews are offered on the truck. Six airbags, trailer sway control, hill-start assist and electronic stability control are included on all trims. Additionally, a rearview camera is standard on LT, LTZ and High Country, improving the driving experience. The available Enhanced Driver Alert Package, standard on High Country and optional on LTZ, also comes with Front and Rear Park Assist, Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking, Safety Alert Driver Seat, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist, and Intellibeam headlamps with automatic high-beam control.
