1-of-1 2026 Corvette ZR1X Raises $2.6 Million for America's Heroes

A custom-built 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X recently sold for $2.6 million at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, with the entire amount benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This charity provides mortgage-free homes to families of fallen first responders and Gold Star families nationwide.

The Corvette ZR1X is 1-of-1

Chevrolet created this 1-of-1 edition of America's quickest production car as a tribute to those who serve. While the car features incredible horsepower and styling, its primary purpose was to raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Chevrolet's leadership expressed great pride in the auction results and their impact on veterans and first responders.

Rick Hendrick, CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group and owner of Hendrick Motorsports, secured the vehicle with the winning bid. The Stars & Steel-inspired Corvette was hand-painted at the General Motors Design Fabrication shop and includes blue brake calipers and blue accents. Under the hood, the car features a high-performance twin-turbocharged V8 engine.

Frank Siller, CEO of Tunnel to Towers, noted that Chevrolet and General Motors have been instrumental in supporting the foundation's mission. The proceeds from this auction will help the organization continue to provide mortgage-free homes to the families of heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Chevrolet has collaborated with Barrett-Jackson for over 15 years, raising $15.5 million for various charities. Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, praised the ZR1X as a special piece of automotive history and an incredible acquisition for the winning bidder.
