
Having slightly more than two decades of experience, the Corvette Racing team will expand its horizons in 2022. Consisting of six professional drivers, the team will enter new events on the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The Superstars of the Corvette Racing Team
Antonio Garcia will be the main designated driver of the Corvette C8.R from the GTD-Pro series. Born and raised in Spain, he kicked off his professional racing career in the late 1990s in Europe. Early in his journey, the ambitious Spaniard claimed the 2000 Euro Open Nissan Championship. As one of the most notable rising stars on the international circuit, he joined the Corvette Racing team in 2009. Some of his most notable achievements with this American brand include victories at the GT Driver, Le Mans, and Role 24. Garcia has also won numerous titles on the International Motor Sports Association, including the Daytona and Long Beach events. Entering his 12th season with Corvette Racing, Garcia certainly brings plenty of experience and star power.
Hailing from Florida, Jordan Taylor will also be assigned to the Corvette C8.R GTD-Pro vehicle. Since joining the Corvette Racing team in 2012, the American driver has thrived on the tour. Some of his greatest accolades include winning the 2020 GTLM Drivers Championship and 2015 Le Mans. After claiming a victory at the 2021 Rolex 24, Taylor certainly enters the 2022 season with plenty of confidence.
Born in Belgium, Nicky Catsburg is another member of the Corvette Racing GTD-Pro team. He will be the main driver for the 2022 endurance events that the IMSA governs. A member of the Corvette Racing unit since 2020, Catsburg has quickly proven his capabilities and worth. Completing only six events with the team in 2021, the rising European star has already won the Rolex 24 race.
Tommy Milner will get behind the steering wheel of the Corvette C8.R GTE Pro. Hailing from the capital district of the United States, he jumps into the 2022 season with more than a decade of solid experience. Participating in more than 120 events under this team, he has won the Drivers Championship and Le Mans multiple times. Additionally, Nick Tandy from England will be the co-driver of the GTE Pro. Alexander Sims will be reserved only for the long-distance races in the WEC.
