Chevrolet models that have been manufactured in the past few years come equipped with some excellent convenience features. One of those features is the remote start. With just a couple of clicks of your key fob, you can start your engine remotely. If you have your heating or cooling functions primed, your vehicle will warm up the engine and get the interior ready for your arrival. You don't have to worry about putting your kids or pets in too hot or cold of a car, and you'll enjoy a comfortable drive as well. Not sure how the remote start feature works? Here's a quick rundown.

How To Start Your Chevrolet Remote Start Function

It's a good idea to set your interior temperature before you shut off your engine. Think about what the temperature outside will be when you are coming back later, and plan accordingly. When it's time to start your vehicle remotely, you should first press down the lock button. Once the vehicle locks, hold down the start button on your key fob. After a few seconds, your engine will start. Remove your finger from the fob once you hear the engine running. Your remote start will run for about 15 minutes before your vehicle shuts itself off. Most vehicles will allow you to start the car one more time using the remote starter before inserting the key into the vehicle.

If you're shopping for a new vehicle and are interested in how the remote start function works, give us a call at Van Chevrolet to find out when you can come to check out one of the models that have these features.
