Chevy Announces Brand-New Cruze Hatchback

The Chevy Cruze has officially received a brand-new sister vehicle and she’s arriving in the form of a hatchback. Chevy recently announced the upcoming launch of the 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback, which is slated to arrive at Van Chevy AZ this fall. The sporty model opens the Cruze up to a whole new segment and welcomes a new group of buyers to experience the benefits of one of the bestselling cars in the world.

Market growth within the hatchback segment convinced Chevy that it was time to create a Cruze Hatchback model for North America and we’re glad they did. Based on the standard 2016 Cruze model, the Cruze Hatch is light, features a rigid structure and is designed to produce exceptional performance. It comes in LT and Premier trims and is available with the RS package, which adds on to its sporty attributes. On the outside, the Cruze Hatch dons wraparound taillights and an integrated spoiler, while the interior, offering a maximum 47.2 cubic feet of cargo space, can come equipped with heated seats, a heated steering wheel and leather surfaces.

On the technology front, the Cruze Hatch sports standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Lane Keep Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Park Assist and Side Blind Zone Alert. It’s also available with Teen Driver, a feature that encourages safe driving and allows parents to monitor their child’s driving patterns. Additionally, the new model comes outfitted with a 1.4L turbo engine equipped with Start/Stop and direct injection and electric power steering. A Z-link rear suspension is also included on Premier models, improving the car’s performance.

With the reveal of the new 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback still fresh in the air, we still have some time before additional information will be released about the car’s specs and offerings. Check back at our blog on a regular basis, so you don’t miss out on future details.
