New Rally-Inspired Trim to Debut on 2018 Suburban and Tahoe Models

2018 Tahoe RST exterior

For the 2018 model year, Suburban and Tahoe fans will have the opportunity to get a tricked out SUV straight from the showroom! Chevy’s all-new Rally Sport Truck (RST) trim adds popular aftermarket gear—along with optional performance upgrades—exclusively to these two best-selling models.

“The RST is designed for customers who want a street performance look without sacrificing capability or refinement, along with the option of increased performance as well,” explained Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Truck Marketing director.

RST is designed to turn heads, adding a variety of hot and trendy exterior appointments starting with body-color door handles and grille surround, black Chevy bowties and black vehicle badging. Available exterior colors include black, white, silver and tungsten, all of which pair nicely with the black appointments on the grille, mirror caps, window trim and roof rails. Both models also get special 22-inch wheels with Bridgestone P285/45R tires.

SUV models with the RST trim also can be had with a series of performance tune-ups, including a horsepower-enhancing performance exhaust system and an upgraded brakes package consisting of larger-than-stock Duralife rotors and six-piston red Brembo calipers.

On top of that, Tahoe RST models can be had with an exclusive Performance Package, which adds a 6.2-liter V8, 10-speed automatic transmission and Magnetic Ride Control to the SUV. Performance specs for this boosted powerplant come in at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, a great option for those who are serious about performance.
